Mike Krause

Mike Krause became a member of the JMBE team after 15 years in various public policy and higher education leadership roles, including service as a state higher education executive officer and as the founding director of Tennessee Promise. A proud adult learner, Mike attended college as a non-traditional student after serving for six years in the United States Army. He began his higher education journey as a community college student and was later awarded a bachelor’s degree from Austin Peay State University and a master’s in public policy from Vanderbilt University.
